What's Next?!

Are you confused as to what I'm reading and Reviewing next?

You should be. Because so am I.

Okay in all seriousness. I'm reading The Highlander series right now. I plan to finish that and since I'm reading them really quickly it's hard to say what Book I'm currently reading now. Which happens a lot when I read because I don't stop and go "Oh wait. I have to post that on my Book reblog." Instead I fly through a series.

So as for my currently reading section? Uh....Hm. I don't know what to put. I guess I can make something that says "HIGHLANDER Series" huh? till I finish? it's six books and I'm only on 2. so it'll be on there for a little while.

Yeah I think I'll do that.

Please keep the faith. ;) I have not forgotten you!

To Tame A Highlander Warrior By Karen Marie Moning

My Review/Reaction to "To Tame A Highlander Warrior" by Karen Marie Moning

The Following Review has SPOILERS!Please, if you have not read the book, refrain from reading this review before hand. Rated: M for mature readers.

---

Yes. Yes. another Highlander Review. I said I already read the second book. and so of course I have to say what I think don't I?

Much like other Adult Novels this book is focused on another Highland Couple. Which was foreshadowed in the last book. and this time it's Grimm and Jillian's turn.

Now, I will be the first to tell you I don't like it when couples already know each other in books. Ashton and America from THE SELECTION ringing any bells? But Some how or other Ms. Moning has made me care for Grimm and Jillian. Which suprised me and pleased me. I was told by some that this wasn't their favorite in the series and I actually found that I enjoyed it just as much as the last. In someways more so then the first.

Grimm, my darling Grimm has had more secrets then Hawk and Adrienne even realized. His name's not even Grimm for crying out loud. Hell! HE'S NOT EVEN HUMAN.

You know, I thought Grimm was a sweet guy in the last book. Reserved I guess is a way I could decribe him but Nope. He's actually a brutal beast when he wants to be. I guess I could see a little of that in the last book with him and Adrianne, though Grimm's eyes never actually changed colors in the last book while he was yelling at her. But somehow they do in this book? Shrugs.

When Grimm was just a child his clan was attacked by McKane. Hunters of his species. Forcing Grimm to turn into what he was. A Berserker. (O.o) Killing multiple men, Grimm fleas and finds himself being Govern by the St. Clairs. and protecting Jillian. Their young empressional daughter who is instantly smitten. (Isn't that how all the romance novels start?) After another Attack from McKane trying to find Grimm, Grimm leaves The St. Clairs but not before kissing/Making out with Jillian. Then 16.  (ALRIGHT GIRL. GOT YOURSELF A 22 YEAR OLD. WOOHOO.)

Years past and Grimm is now the Grimm we know in the first Highlander books. He is asked to come for Jillian's hand. (Though he doesn't know that till he gets there.)

Jullian and Grimm's relationship go through all the phases of denial. even to the point where Grimm tries to get Jullian to hook up with his..best friend? (Um...I thought Hawk was your BFF GRIMM???)
While Grimm and Jullian are playing keep away, Grimm's father is alive and waiting for his son to return. and there's a threat against Grimm. From some unknown source and McKane. But that doesn't stop those two crazy lovers to finally get it on. (WHILE NOT MARRIED!)

I will say I enjoyed their sex scenes more then Hawk&Adrianne. More voical. ;) and more experimental. There was some plot twist that I liked and over all I enjoyed this book just as much as Beyond The Highland Mist.

Jullian was sweet, but when it came to Grimm she was such a brat and he pointed that out. Grimm made me like him more and more in this book and made me feel sorry for him.

There were a few things that confused me. and that was Grimm left again only to turn back around to steal Jillian from her wedding to Quinn...umm...why did you even bother dude? Why not just have her while you were there?
Another thing it was clear that Grimm killed this one person but not McKane. How did that bastard die? they even wrote out a scene or anything. Weird. it just said in one sentence. BAM!
McKane died in year 15--BLAH BLAH BLAH. I was thinking they were going to be more clear about that. Hmm.

Over all I give this a great rating. It was a good followup with the first book and I was really happy to see Grimm get a good ending considering his upbringing was wayyy screwy. :(

Beyond the Highland Mist By Karen Marie Moning

My Review/Reaction to "Beyond The Highland Mist" By Karen Marie Moning

Hello!
Yes. This is actually a review. Shocking I know. and No it's not the book I said I was going to read. Sometimes things happen and I end up in the mood for a totally different book then what I intended to read. and in this case, It happened with this book. I was looking for something a little more adult because, honesly I don't read enough of them and so I was recommended The Highlander Series by Ms. Karen Marie Moning.

Now, I was given a lot of books to read recently. All the Highlander books included and for some reason or other I choose this one to read first. Which is ironic considering Ms. Moning's books and I don't usually see eye to eye. She is worldly known for her FEVER series and for some reason that series and I do not get along together. I have friends everywhere telling me to try to read that series and try again. I have tried about three times and they still haven't given up hope. It's not that I'm not into her writing. Clearly she is well versed in her art. I finished this book in six hours tops, if that's any indication to her talent. I honestly think it's because she has Alien, fae monsters popping up in her last book series and that's weird to me. and scary. But moving on. This review is about Highlander one Not the FEVER series.

I really did enjoy this book. The characters were fun to read. The Banter between Hawk and Adrianne were gold. and I found myself really entertianed about them in general. I think their po-sex interactions were my favorite part in this book.  Hawk is basically every woman's dream come true to the point where even the Immortal beings want him for his hotself. and it's because that, He has certian Immortals wanting revegenge. Thats where Adrianne comes in. She's from 1997. (I'm guessing when the book was published?) and she becomes a chess peice in their little game against Hawk. (Pun, definately intended here folks. Haha. aren't I funny?)  She gets sucked into the 1500's Scotland. and she literally forced into marrying Hawk as Mad Janet.

What I liked about this is Adrianne really does tries to keep her voice and her beliefs in order. Women back in this time did not have the right to speak so willingly and she straight up didn't get that memo. She tries to tell people she is who she is, and she ends up getting punished for it. Which seemed accurate to me. There were some parts where I wanted to choke dear Adrianne just because she seems a little judgemental in someways and fickled. Like when Olivia comes to visit. especially for someone who has her own secrets. But over all I think she was a pretty good character. I would of wanted to see more chat about Adrainne and actually telling Hawk about her ex. I would of liked it to be more clear on her past with him But..it didn't make me like the story less.

I would of also liked to have seen Adrianne miss her home more. Her time. To me it would of been more realistic but I guess when you have no family, 1500's Scotland looks really good. :)

There is this fae named Adam who had me actually liking him to me thinking he was a douche. He was very entertianing to read making want to bitch slap him and hug him at the same time. I do know he has a book in the series that I definately am looking forward too. I love that Adam has many known names, one being Puck from A MidSummer Night's Dream.
(Hello Iron Fay fan here!) However I definately can't think of Puck as evil as Adam...But I still enjoyed him..

There's also Grimm. Hawk's best friend. Some might not like him in this series but over all I actually kind of did. he does things that make him look like a jerk but in all honestly we all probably would of done the same in this situation. He's such a loyal friend and I really did like him. I like him even more in the next Highlander book which I've already read because I'm quick like that.

As I've said, the book was ACE. There were some moments where I held my breath, and over all the book was a page turner. I definately liked how it ended and I couldn't put it down. The sex scenes? I'm picky. I like details and a lot of verbal responses. (Kinky I know) But over all these were pretty hot. If I do say so myself. YAY MS. MONING!

I'll definately be reading the rest of this series. that I would recommand anyone looking for a quicky. (Dirty...Dirty...Dirty..)

Hello people!

It's official. I'm back in the line of reading. as you know from past posts I had the worse luck getting my internet fixed. my internet was all kinds of messed up due to a Little Grimlin named Jenna. and about the time I needed to get it fixed, was also a very busy with family and birthdays and just...yeah. It's Christmas in July for my family, and I had no time what so ever to just sit and read. But hopefully now that this baby is back and on track again maybe I can change that.

I will say before my busy self got well...busy I was trying to read a book that just..didn't grab me. I know a few of my friends will be disappointed to hear but I just simply couldn't grasp it. so I'm moving on. the next book?

The Pleasure Slave by Gena Showalter

My Review/Reaction to "The Pleasure Slave" by Gena Showalter

The Following Review has SPOILERS!Please, if you have not read the book, refrain from reading this review before hand. Rated: M for mature readers.

---

I'm told on a weekly basis it seems that I need to read books more adult friendly. What people don't realize is that I read Mrated (Adult friendly) fanfics on a daily basis. However, every once in a blue moon, I'll pick up a book that is more for adults and I'll read it and hopefully enjoy it.
That's what happened to me with "The Pleasure Slave" by Gena Showalter. A friend of mine--(HI BRITT!) asked me what book should she read and of course I recommended books from my YA bookshielf. In turn she told me a list of books and of course the title of this book caught my eyes.
Now, I'm not a huge fan of some published Adult books. Growing up reading Harliquin will do that to you. To me it's usually cheesey and more then likely it'll have to much sex in that it'll lack plot. But I decided to try this one. Because I do enjoy some adult books a lot. and to my suprise I can add 'The Pleasure Slave" to that list. With it's title, I'm more then suprised.
The Plot line is pretty perdicable. it's true. there's nothing really twisty or shocking. Girl finds box, girl opens box and a hot guy comes out to play.
Like I said, it's not shocking.
But yet there's a certian charm about this book that I had me turning the page. The characters of Julia and Tristian are interesting and quite deep, given the nature of the book. I felt for both of them really. Julia thinks she's nothing special and given her past love life, I can totally understand why she's a virgin and believe what she does. High school boys suck. On the other side of the pairing,  Tristian has literally been through hell, that you can't help but hope for a happy ever after for him. Even if I knew he will get one eventually, I still found myself wishing for it. And waiting for it? waiting for the ending is torturous. it makes you want to skip all the crap and read the last page. Which I didn't do. Because it's the journey of everything that makes the happy ending worth it. and it was. the moment Tristian admit his love was quite powerful and makes you think 'FINALLY!' because then that bitch what's her face can shut up! THANK GOD.
her punishment for everything was AMAZING.
This book in general may seem like a cheese fest but it was light and sweet. The pairing of Julia and Tristian even brought a smile to my face. hell, sometimes I even laughed. and it's the magical world Tristian comes from and the charms of the characters that made me give this book so many cookies.
So thanks Gena Showalter, You gave me some hope for the adult books. The only bad thing I can say about this novel was I wish Tristian had short hair. I'm picky about guys and long hair. I can't hack it. But to each their own I suppose. The book itself makes up for all the bad. It wasn't even that cheesey. Shocking!
so if you like books that have predicable endings but yet a really quick read? and don't want anything to heavy? look no more! This book's for you. It's the kind of book, I'd curl up with on saturday if I didn't have plans. with a bowl of ice cream. Hope you enjoy.

Happy Readings, Lovlies.

The Golden Lily By Richelle Mead

My Review/Reaction to "The Golden Lily" By Richelle Mead.

The Following Review has SPOILERS!Please, if you have not read the book, refrain from reading this review before hand. Rated: PG/PG13.

------

Every year there's always a few books I look forward the most. Richelle Mead's Book are always on top of the list. This year? It was the arrival of "The Golden Lily." and to my delight, I'm proud to say It didn't disappoint. I literally started reading from 6PM all the way 7:30AM. Because as with all of Ms. Mead's book, once I open I can't put it down.
I love everything about her Vampire Academy/Bloodlines books. The world has always been so detailed to me. so drawn out that I am always left in awe of it. What I love best? her characters are so vivaid. Their alive. and so full of spunk that It's so hard to choose who to dislike. That's rare to find in a book.
With The Golden Lily, I was captiated back into the Vampire world of Ms. Mead. I was happy to have this book finally. I literally jumped in the air and did a dance once I had in in my hands. (I mean after the cliff hanger of the last c'mon?)  and , I couldn't put this book down. It was filled with tons of questions and familar twists and Characters I've loved for years now. It was like coming home again. Haha.
Sydney Sage is a wonderful girl to read through. Though she is wordy at times, she is completely relatable. I feel myself more drawn to her then even the pervious heroine Rose. (Though I don't know if my thoughts count for anything since I haven't forgiven Rose for what she did in the last book of VA. call me stubborn...) But Sydney is such a normal girl, who doesn't realize she's normal. She's very insecure and everything around her is questioned with every desicion she makes. Mostly regarding to her Vampire 'family'. (Whose relationship, I ADORE! EEEK!)
Somtimes I feel like Sydney takes HUGE steps to ruinning with the vamps and then..her brainwashing (Which is what it is, don't try to change my mind Ms Mead!) kicks in and she's like "Oh no!!" Totally not her fault since she was raised that way. How is she able to not jump Adrian Ivashkov's bones I will never know. I would of done tapped that LONGGGGG time ago. Then again Adrian and I go away back. His character has changed SO MUCH since FrostBites. I feel at times he's a completely different character from who he was originally, but then he'll say something that will crack me up and I know it's my baby.
There's a lot of stuff going on with The Golden Lily. Personally, some of it I'm not even sure I'll remember tomorrow. (I hope I can. O_O) But over all once again Mead writes a kickass book! and leaves everyone hanging!

WAITING.
DYING.
SUFFERING.

Mead is grinning, I Know it.

Another note is that I don't even know why Jill and Sydney are on the book cover together. The book's main focus was Adrian and Sydney's forbidden, lovely romance that even Sydney is blind too. (I MEAN REALLY GIRL, HOW NAIVE ARE YOU???)
who else is naive? Jill. Not nearly as much as Miss Sage, as she certianly has grown since the last book, but damn. Her "GET HIM" Clock works late. (Yet. another pairing not doing what I want...sigh.)
The Golden Lily had tons of new characters. Some I grew to love and some I wish I drove over with Adrian's new 1967 mustang. (SWOON.) I'M TALKING TO YOU BRODY-WHOSE-NAME-IS-NOT BRODY-  There was also old characters who showed up who I enjoyed greatly in this book. (STILL WAITING ON CHRISTIAN MS MEAD!!! ;) ) Also, am I the only one who saw LOTS of foreshadow in this book? I see bad shit happening you guys. This ride isnt over and it's already making my head spin. :D

Really, aside from my obvious praise, The only bad thing I could possibly say is not really bad at all. Some of the plot was dranged out. Some things, again got wordy, but what girl isn't wordy? so the pace was a bit slow. But Mead's writing and world totally makes up for that I couldn't even notice. I do realize Ms. Mead has the ability to shatter once hopes and dreams just with one chapter alone.
that's how amazingly talented that woman is.

Now, I must go sleep. because like Sydney in the second chapter, I'm on the verge of dying due to the lack it. (See, I do remember all of it!)

GOOD NIGHT PEOPLES. HAPPY READINGS!

Tiff's Rating: FIVE cookies out of five.

PS- With all my reviews I tend to go back and edit the pervious post. I'll probably will edit it this one. it looks good now, but with sleep I might think differently.

The Selection By Kiera Cass

My Reaction/Review to "The Selection" By Kiera Cass.

The Following Review has SPOILERS!
Please, if you have not read the book, refrain from reading this review before hand. Rated: PG/PG13.

----

I had a set goal for this book. To finish this book before "The Golden Lily" release. I finished it before the goal. Because it was THAT GOOD!

I see a lot of people comparing it to "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. And though it's in the same family of books, I really don't think it's anything like it. I also know people Refuse to read this book because the Writer behaved rather unpleasant to a reader, but I don't judge a book based on the person who wrote the book. A good story is a good story. Doesn't matter who wrote it.

The Selection is about girls signing up for a chance to be Queen. Not forced. Of course for America Singer, it's a little different. She doesn't want to be queen. She just wants to marry her boyfriend, Aspen.

I adored America. She's stubborn, Sarcastic and strong. She has her beliefs and no prince or crown is gonna change that. I loved it. The book overall has a very "The Bachelor" feel to it. Mixed in some fairytale element.

Of course the relationships are the main focus on the book. Which is fine. The boys both has reasons for you root for, but personally, I'm more of a Prince Maxon girl. He's so socially awkward, he's adorable. And easily won my heart. He and America flowed really well together and within chapters they had me Squee-ing! I found myself laughing over and over as well. I loved them. I can definitely see America becoming queen and Maxon becoming a better king with America at his side. He still has some mystery to him which is great. And keeps the reader invested in finding out more about him. I know some find the Prince boring but I actually find Aspen on the boring side. The only thing the Aspen & America pairing ever does is make out. (which is nice, but Aspen still feels like a stranger to me.) One thing I can say about Aspen is he's full of pride.  And when he does do the honorable thing he takes it back at the end. Making things complicated. Maybe it's because I hate when a couple is already together in a book. (I like to see the build up)  but I just can't rooting for Aspen. Not when Prince Maxon's in the picture. I feel like Aspen as a character is a space filler.
In other words:

TEAM PRINCE MAXON! Yeah!!

Now. Moving on.

This book was what I consider a quick read. It's so good it had my twitter followers asking what I was reading so emotionally. Because I was spazzing out all over the place. The pace is perfect and the characters are so well crafted (Except Aspen) that the book would make you Want to be selected yourself. I know I already sent my form in! Have you? Haha!
I can't not wait to continue the ride Ms. Cass created. I definitely have high hopes for the next book. It's clearly going to magical!

Happy Readings!

Mark of Athena: Cover Reveal!

Here it is kids! Pretty exciting stuff! Looks kind of epic!

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

My Review/Reaction of 'Delirium' by Lauren Oliver.

The Following Review has SPOILERS!
Please, if you have not read the book, refrain from reading this review before hand. Rated: PG/PG13.

---

Sorry if the format of this is not the usual. My computer had a unfortunate death due to the Gremlin who resides in my house. She chewed up the wire. I'm very unpleased and now stuck using the app from my iPhone. God bless Apple right?

Now on to the review.
This book is amazing. The characters are so alive and beautifully written that it really made me feel like I was living in their world. With their belief system. In this world, love is a illness. It kills. It digs inside of you and changes your life forever. They even have a cure. By the time your eighteen, you must be cut and slipt open and become one of the cured. In this world, it means happiness.

Every person in Lena's world is basically brainwashed. And turned into Zombies. The country is controlled by a very Nazi-like government. Often people die because their "infected."
In a lot of ways this story is the most depressing of all. What's the famous saying?
"Better to Love and lost, then to not love at all."
I kept thinking of that line throughout this whole book. And it really touched me on how much we take love for granted. Even simple love, like from a mom or dad. This book excelled at making feel like your apart of this society. I even began to question if love is worth all the fuss in this book. I'm proud to say, that yes. Love is worth everything. Thank you Ms. Oliver for reminding me of that.

Now the tone of the book is very different then most books I've read. The characters are really normal everyday teens. Lena Holoway is a very self conscious, envious teen who finds herself throughout the course of the novel. Which I like. I like that her views in love start one way and end another. Everything she knows is questioned when she meets the beautiful Alex.

Alex....

I have to say, I actually enjoyed him. He has his beliefs and he's not all boring to read. I'm impressed. Since the last book I read, "THE IMMORTAL RULES" I said I like triangles for the choice factor but Alex alone is done very well in this book. I even found him sexy in some parts. Which shocked me. Congrats Ms. Oliver! You made me not hate the "main" pairing! It's a rarity. Though I would of loved to see more build up, the pace of their relationship isn't so bad and a part of me believes if they waited any longer to hook up, Lena wouldn't of been open minded about falling in love with him. Alex had to get in and plant himself inside her head from the start. Their time was ticking after all, what with Lena's upcoming lab visit. And it's because of that factor, Lena and Alex were quite inspiring. Forbidden. And one of the reasons why I felt a little for them. :) they were tragic from the start.

Now I'm told by my friend there is a triangle in the next book, which I already started. I wonder who the other guy is...I'm definitely excited and impatient. Since the last book ended in what I call a "MindFuck."I can only think this book will do the same...oh boy.

The only thing negative I can say about Delirium is sometimes the scenes can be a little dragged out to much. Lena is a very wordy character and she likes to talk about the see-nary a little more then what I'd like. Maybe your different though. Maybe you'll be happy with the pace. But to me, I wanted to hurry up and get to the action part. Which I knew was coming. So see, the dragging was good and bad. Now I was going to say that this book was a bit predictable. Till the "Mindfuck" thing happened to me Now I can say that that's not the case. Thankfully. I mean, I'm still sitting here with my mouth hung open. Thinking about the turn of events and wondering what the hell just happened. And who is this brilliant woman, Ms. Oliver? And can I love her forever? (UNCURED FTW!)

And because I was "Mindfucked" so beautifully by said woman, you won't mind me, if I hurry to leave you to go read book 2.

Happy Readings!

After much debate I have decided to read....

DELIRIUM by Lauren Oliver!

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

The Immortal Rules By Julie Kagawa

Review/Reaction to 'The Immortal Rules' By Julie Kagawa.

The Following Review has SPOILERS!
Please, if you have not read the book, reframe from reading this review before hand.
Rated:
PG/PG13.

Woohoo!! I feel amazing. Of course this always happens when a book from a favorite writer of mine. and now is no different. The Immortal Rules was everything a vampire book should be plus some. Packed with blood, action, sword fighting and life or death situations. For me, this book was a brilliant mix of "The Hunger Games Meets Twilight" only with no sparkling vampires. What did I love most? The main character. THIS PEOPLE IS HOW YOU WRITE A HEROENE! I Fallen in LOVE with Allie. Her whit, her over all badass attuitude everything. She's one of the strongest female characters I have ever read in a book and the main reason why I enjoyed this story so much. She's beauitful, strong, independent and with flaws. and I want to run to Julie Kagawa and bow to her for creating such a girl for me to enjoy. She's kind of like Rose from The Vampire Academy (In the beginning of the series) mixed together with Katniss Everdeen.
Now I know I know, I'm mixing a lot of fandoms together for this book but believe me this book also stands on it's own two feet. I really nervous for Julie when I heard about this series, since it's about Vampires and I know how tough we vamp-groupies can be, but I should of known this woman can pull it off. My excitement for the book made me pick it up and it was Julie's fantastic writing skills that brought me from the beginning to end. Now, the book did start slow. I was beginning to wonder for JUST a second, but then BAM.
I was sucked in like a vampire suck blood. (Okay that was lame but still! It happened!) I read and read. till finally I couldn't read anymore and I had to sleep. Only I didn't sleep cuz I had stuff to do that day. THANK YOU JULIE! ;)
Pretty soon, the slow start happened for a reason. and what a reason it was. Everything started picking up once Ms. Kagawa introduced Boys into the mix. (of course.) and what interesting boys we got this time around. I will say that while I did rather enjoy the boys this time around from Julie, I can't commint to one of them as I did with Ash or even Puck. I did love Kanin as a indiviual character, he was strong, badass, detached and wise beyond messure however, the boy (Or was he a man? You know I can't remember. I just pictured him as hot. :P ) needs to lighten up.Of course I can totally understand why he couldn't chill for a second with everything going around. I did enjoy Kanin and Allie's friendship. The way he taught her everything about being a Immortal was really cool, and the fact that he added to her badassary by giving her a weapon just officially made me get the "TEAM KANIN" Sticker for my blog. Do I love them romantically? Not really...I wouldn't object to the pairing, but in the long run I know who Allie is gonna end up with. She has no romantic feelings towards Kanin where as with Zeke she instantly was drawn to him. Does that mean I ship Allie&Zeke? *shrugs* At this point, I feel like I don't have a choice. There really is no triangle in this book. It was made pretty obvious that Allie & Zeke were the "IT" couple of the series. I just hope maybe we'll see a triangle down the road. I'd love to see some romantic angst weather it involves Kanin or not, is yet to be seen. By the end of the book however, signs point to No. Kanin and Allie will never be that way. What with him keep referring to her as his Offspring and Jackel calling her his sister. It now officially seems wrong to play with the idea of Allie and Kanin. But Kanin is still a badass. Therefore, The Sticker Sticks. ;)
Now moving on to Zeke. I did enjoy Zeke. He was the beam of light in this dark story. He was good, pure and honest guy, Whose beliefs got questioned a lot during the events of the book. Which I enjoyed. I enjoy when a character questions themselves greatly. I really felt for Zeke as a indiviual too. Especially with his relationship with Jeb and the hardships he has to handle from his father. No kid, I don't care if he understands the reasons or whatever no children should have their beiefs forced on him like that. What I also enjoyed, one of the things about Allie and Zeke is how they had a hint of forbidden romance going around. With Zeke, falling for a vampire is completely against everything he was raised against. Sure in this book its a lot to handle dealing with a vampire and falling for them but for a Zeke and his christianity it's definately even more unheard of and hard on him, because to him it's undoing everything he was taught.
I also enjoyed Allie's struggles to her vampisim. Going from Human to Vampire was very hard on her. Because the people whom she once cared for now hate her. and you see, how that one moment effects her relationship with the circle of Humans finding Eden. Once again the character of Allie/Allison was BREATHTAKING. I ADORE HER!
Over all, However because I feel like I have no choice, and there is no other option of weather or not to like Zeke&Allie, I can decide if I love or like them. (see, too postives it's not that bad.) at one point I feel like their forced on me as a reader and then they have one of those moments where I wanted to scream "KISS ALREADYYYY!" it's very conflicting as a reader and now fan of the book. Who knows, maybe Julie will shock me and have Allie and Kanin have something now that the ending of the book ended the way it did. Like I said I wouldn't object.
All together aside from not deciding to like the couple or not, I LOVED this book. The world is rather depressing. I felt somewhat creeped out in some scenes, but there were parts where I wanted to cry and laugh. and When you have those three things happening in the book, You know your reading something genuis. Well done Julie for creating a vampire book and making it fresh. I love you for it. you continue to stun me to silence. I will be reading the next book when it comes out. Can't wait..

The Lost Prince: Cover reveal!

It's awesome! I've been meaning to post this on my Blog for some time now, Just so I could properly SQUEE about this beast. It's AMAZING. Just like the rest of the Iron Fey books. Apparently Ethan Chase grew up and decided to go shirtless. and Though this may be wrong on many levels, I do not object to the view. He grew up nice! The cover is captivating and beauitful. I love the color sheme of the book and it makes me want it right now!
Love you Julie Kagawa! CAN'T WAIT for this new adventure!

Currently Reading: The Immortal Rules

Currently Reading: I am very excited to start this book. It's been a while since got my hands on a new Vampire Series and this one has been catching my eyes ever since I became a Julie Kagawa fan. I've loved her since I read The Iron Fey Series so I know she wont disappoint me. The fact that this book is already optioned off for a movie also speaks volumes. I only wish that there's a good triangle and possibly a smoking hot guy in the mix. (*winks*) As you all know I am a fictional boy whore. and I'm proud. I'm mostly hoping for a character like Puck from the Iron Fey series because he was hilarious. and a sexy guy like Ash as well. Here's to hoping! The cover certianly looks breathtaking as do all of Julie's covers. :)

'The Immortal Rules' By Julie Kagawa
Of the Blood Of Eden Series

In a future world, Vampires reign. Humans are blood cattle. And one girl will search for the key to save humanity.

Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a vampire city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten.

Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them. The vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself is attacked—and given the ultimate choice. Die… or become one of the monsters.

Faced with her own mortality, Allie becomes what she despises most. To survive, she must learn the rules of being immortal, including the most important: go long enough without human blood, and you will go mad.

Then Allie is forced to flee into the unknown, outside her city walls. There she joins a ragged band of humans who are seeking a legend—a possible cure to the disease that killed off most of humankind and created the rabids, the mindless creatures who threaten humans and vampires alike.

But it isn’t easy to pass for human. Especially not around Zeke, who might see past the monster inside her. And Allie soon must decide what—and who—is worth dying for.

*SCREAMS A THOUSAND TIMES OVER AND OVER*
OH. THIS. BOOK.
My Heart.
My soul.
MY VERY BEING!
This. This book right here is how you end a series my friends. THIS.
I can even begin to decribe how happy I am with this book. It could possibly be my favorite in the series. This or the second. Because this book is a perfect balance between ANGST romance too ACTION PACK!! It picks off right where the cliffhanger left us.  (Which I ADORE. Because if I'm being honesty, I hate how the other books there's a year in between. call me crazy...) There are fights. There is blood. and THERE. ARE FAIRIES.
Of course there's a hint of Aurthurian Legends to satisfied my fangirl self, with TONS of Tamani. and Tamani & Laurel. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
and Everything a book needs to end things in a realistic, but amazing way.

*Composes self*
This book had a lot of things happening. and was mostly set in the Magical World of Avalon. The Fairie world is set in utter despair. Where both Races have to team up together to save everyone of Avalon.

As for the four characters, their character developments in this book were STELLER :D
I wasn't a big fan of David. Still find him blah but He certianly proved himself to be rather important in this book. and I'm thrilled. He's not just a part of the triangle. But he's a puzzle peice to the victory of Avalon (and Over all series as it turns out!!) I was very happy with David by the end of the book. He certian has been through a lot for the Fairies, especially for as a human.
as for Chelsea. I've grown rather fond of this girl. She'll hilarious and sweet and everyone can relate to her, but she doesn't wasn't a spacefiller or just for the LOLz. She plays a part in saving the Faeries too, I love that both humans were not just there. But what the faeries actually needed the most. It was brilliant storytelling from Ms. Pike for coming up with a way for the races to come together and not in a rushed way. The book was Realistic for both David and Chelsea and I'm so happy with how they came together to help their friends. I partically enjoyed Tamani and Chelsea's unlikely friendship in this book. Definately made Tamani appericate humans more, which is what I think he needed as a character to grow.
TAMANI. TAMANI. TAMANI.
He has lost so much in this book and yet gained everything as well. I will say I am THRILLED with the ending he got but in some ways it was bittersweet. as he has lost so many in the war of Trolls and Faeries. as I've said, I really did enjoy his arch. He still has conflicts over Laurel vs. Avalon and which comes first but over all I believe he finally realized What he had to do in the end.
Laurel as a character grew and grew. and I love the change in her from this book to the first. Personally, I would still have liked that she remembered Tamani from years pier, but we can't have everything in a series. I loved to see her reaction to things she learns about the Faeries and how they effected her human family. and realizing that not eveything can be shared with them. I also loved that no matter how tragic things seem, Laurel finds it within herself to never change her beliefs. I love that she explained what her problem was with Tamani and David and I loved that she took the time to really realize what she wanted and in the end she accepted her feelings. Not wanting to be afraid of anymore. I am so happy with whom she ended up with. Words can not express.

This book was such a page turner, I couldn't put it down. There are some things I would loved to be explained, especially with Laurel and the little Winter Faerie but it wasn't completely left to where it needed another book to explain. I'm happy with just my mind wondering on it's own. (Of course If Ms. Pike wanted to write another Wings book, I will never object.)
I feel like the book series is done. and flowed wonderfully. and It has definately made me a fan of Ms. Pike in general. Any Book from her can now look forward to be read by moi. Thank you Ms. Pike for the world that you created! Can't not wait to see what comes next from you! I will definately miss Laurel, Tamani, Chelsea and maybe even David. Hope you guys all enjoy these reviews/reactions almost as  much as I've enjoyed writing them for this series.

Happy Readings Darlings.

Illusions By Aprilynne Pike

Review/Reaction of 'Illusions' By Aprilynne Pike

The Following Review has SPOILERS!

PG/PG13.
Ah. Okay so I'mma be honest. I finished this series this morning. Already having read "Distened" In the Wings series. But I will try to seperate the two books because there's a lot to discuss regarding this book in order to get to the last. Which I will review after. (Because OMG)

First things first, I believe Aprilynne Pike's writing skills improve with every book she writes. I love seeing that in a writer. Once again, The angst in this book is so well written that I feel like tearing up. The book starts off with Laurel and David, once agian talking with their Spunky (I LOVE HER) friend Chelsea whom since last book is learning about Fairies and Trolls. But who pops up in their school as a foreign exchange while they talk about the coming year?
MY TAMANI!
Okay, lets be frank here. This had me squee'ing all over the place. Because where the last book left off Tamani had a plan and a Mission. and we find out it's to join the real world of Humans. To truely protect his beloved Laurel 100%! Because the threat of Trolls is still around, and With the new character of Klea sneaking about? He has a reason to believe Laurel and Avalon are in danger! Not mention it gives him a chance to fight for Laurel's warly affections. I ADORE THIS TRIANGLE. I love Tamani's struggles with the huamn world. and him being tore between protecting Laurel and Protecting Avalon. Doing what's right. It's very apparent in this book. Plus, now that this amazing boy is no longer isolated to one place in this series, He's like a force to be reckoned with. Putting up his A Game. I like that. What I also loved? He puts up his A+ But not by forcing himself on Laurel. Just be being there, Laurel is conflicted with him. His very presance dampers on David and Laurel's relationship.
The writer does a amazing job showing Laurel's conflected Emotions. Her loving David, and her pull toward's Tamani. Each boy once again repersenting seperate parts of her character. David = The Human Laurel. Tamani = The Fairie Laurel. What I really like? is Laurel taking a a stand with each boy. What also Laurel has to deal with, is a new character named Yuki (Or as I like to call her. YUCKY!) And her unbreakable need to be Jealous of Tam and Yuki's growing bond. There's a lot of mystery with this book. Who is Yuki? Who is Klea? Why does Laurel have headaches, and What will happen with Avalon. There's a lot of everything in this book, a lot of things I didn't expect and of course it ends in a LOVELY cliffhanger. (Which is why I read the last book so soon....Stopping Judging. :P)
Once again if you want a Triangle, some Fairies, some trolls. Look no further, THIS BOOK'S FOR YOU. :D

Happy Reading Darlings!
